Michael “Gidget” Brown

Gidget began tattooing in 2009 in Columbia, SC after his brother in law Nik bought him his first machine. Soon after he moved to Columbus, OH where he began his journey as a tattoo artist. In 2015 he decided to come back home to Columbia and quickly built his reputation as an excellent tattoo artist from doing whatever was thrown at him. In 2023 he and his brother in law Nik went in to business together and opened Black Dahlia Tattoo.

Gidget specializes in tattooing whatever customers want and is well known for his versatility, but his personal preference is tattooing photo realism.

Jazmin Murphy

Meet Jazmin Murphy, an experienced tattoo artist with a notable eight-year journey in the world of body artistry. Specializing in Illustrative and Fine Line styles, Jazmin strives to create original, custom-designed artworks suited for any body type.

Jazmin’s approach to tattooing emphasizes bodily autonomy and the active involvement and satisfaction of her clients. Committed to ongoing learning and upholding the highest standards of sanitation, Jazmin aims not only create beautiful tattoos, but to also celebrate the individuality of each client.

I’ve been tattooing going on 14 years now. I originally focused on American traditional tattooing for awhile but I can do most styles. Large scale japanese is probably the most fun to tattoo for me. There’s something magical for me seeing it come together. I don’t really do much other than tattoo and hang out with my family.

Jorge “Jito” Maldonado

Providing ink therapy one stroke at a time. I’m Jorge “Jito” Maldonado, a self-taught artist on a mission to create custom artwork that leaves you breathless. With each tattoo, I pour my heart and soul into the process, combining skill and passion to deliver pieces worthy of admiration. Originating from the vibrant town of Aibonito, Puerto Rico, my journey took me to upstate New York at a young age. It was there that destiny led me to my first encounter with “Crazy Joe” in his tattoo parlor. Little did I know, that fateful meeting would ignite an everlasting love affair with the art of tattooing. Every day is an opportunity for growth and self-expression. For me, tattooing is more than just ink on skin – it’s therapy for both artist and canvas. With every piece I create, I aim to capture the essence of the individual and tell their story through art.

Chris Floyd

Chris is our shop apprentice, he ventured into tattooing because he has always had a love for art. He continues to grow everyday as an artist and does not limit himself to one style of tattooing but he favors traditional and neo-traditional.
