Michael “Gidget” Brown
Gidget began tattooing in 2009 in Columbia, SC after his brother in law Nik bought him his first machine. Soon after he moved to Columbus, OH where he began his journey as a tattoo artist. In 2015 he decided to come back home to Columbia and quickly built his reputation as an excellent tattoo artist from doing whatever was thrown at him. In 2023 he and his brother in law Nik went in to business together and opened Black Dahlia Tattoo.
Gidget specializes in tattooing whatever customers want and is well known for his versatility, but his personal preference is tattooing photo realism.
Seba Williamson
I started tattooing here in Columbia, SC in 2018 and I love working on large scale black and grey or color realism pieces as well as large coverups.
Alyssa
Alyssa began her apprenticeship at Black Dahlia in August 2024 and has been tattooing for seven months. She specializes in Illustrative Blackwork and fine line designs, creating bold, graphic pieces alongside softer, detailed work. She often blends gothic, surreal, and traditional influences in her designs, while working equally in fine line styles that emphasize delicate shading and detail.”
Outside of tattooing, Alyssa finds inspiration in nature walks, traveling, and time spent with her family and friends. Dedicated to ongoing learning and growth, she approaches every tattoo with care and attention, building a portfolio that reflects both creativity and craft.

I’m a tattoo artist with 3 years of experience, specializing in realism and anime-inspired work. Originally from West Philadelphia, I recently moved to South Carolina and am excited to continue growing as an artist while bringing unique, detailed designs to each client.

I’m an artist with 2 years of experience, I love large scale black and grey realism but am a jack of all styles, originally from Michigan Grand Rapids, I can’t wait to continue my tattoo journey and grow as an Artist with a and amazing reputation with a big dream
Derrick
Derrick is a new apprentice at Black Dahlia. He wants to focus his style on realism. Derrick started as an apprentice in July of 2025, and is quickly proving to be a talented artist.
